No to the Boulder-White Clouds monument

Well, I’ve been quiet long enough—time to get on my soap box.
I live on the East Fork of the Salmon and am totally against making my front yard a national monument. Besides, what gives anyone from Blaine, Ada or any other county the right to tell Custer County what to do. Look how they ruined Blaine County (and don’t tell me they haven’t).
If it’s not broke, it doesn’t need fixing. I have lived here for 15 years and before that many years in Stanley. I have not seen anything in these 15 years that would hurt this area, except the influx of some real stupid people. Why not make the national monument the Pioneer Mountains or save Bald Mountain. Kudos to David Butterfield, as he was right on.  It would behoove Sun Valley to have the national monument in their front yard.
All I have seen is an increase in traffic and most drive like a bat out of hell, driving way to fast and driving down the center of the road.  Corners are especially bad—of course they don’t get over or slow down.  Heck, there is no center line for the idiots to stay out of my lane.
I am a photographer also and go into the mountains a lot.  You do not have to make it a national monument to see it.  There is camping, hiking, hunting etc. for everyone.  Make it a national monument and the older generation and handicapped won’t be able to see this wonder. Leave it alone.
As far as congressional action and stimulating Custer County, I call BS. Do so over in Blaine County—they are more set up for stimulation or the influx of visitors. More people, more signs, more traffic, more trash and more idiots (these people need signs to tell them what not to do). I say “no” to a national monument in the Boulder-White Clouds.
