A friend in need is a friend indeed

    Last month, at the height of dramatic thunder, frightening lightning and marble-size hail, we reached the top of Baldy after our hike on that wonderful trail from the River Run side.
   Once inside the warm and dry Lookout building, where other hikers and a biker had also sought shelter, a Sun Valley staff member informed us that the lift and gondola had been shut down. The thought of descending the mountain, on foot, under these adverse weather conditions was not exactly a comforting thought. But the angels were watching over us, for two very helpful young men who were part of Sun Valley’s mountain crew came to our rescue and one of them safely trucked us down the mountain. We arrived at the base of Baldy very grateful to the angels who made a scary and most unpleasant mountain hike into a feel-good experience.
   Thank you, rescuers, for your concern and wonderful help.
