Guided Gallery Walk set for Aug. 29
    The Sun Valley Gallery Association will host a guided Gallery Walk in Ketchum on Friday, Aug. 29. The guided tour will start at 5 p.m. at Kneeland Gallery on First Avenue, just south of Sun Valley Road. The tour will feature new works at member galleries, including Gilman Contemporary, Wood River Fine Arts, Broschofsky Galleries, Frederic Boloix, Kneeland, Gail Severn, Harvey Art Projects, Friesen and Bellinger Fine Arts.  
    The walking tour takes about two hours and is led by former Idaho Legislator Wendy Jaquet, co-founder of the Sun Valley Gallery Association. Participants are welcome to join and leave the group as commitments dictate.  

Learn about raptors at Redfish
    The Sawtooth Interpretive & Historical Association free lecture series continues this weekend with a presentation and lecture by wildlife experts Greg Kaltenecker and Bill Heinrich on conserving birds of prey. The raptor lecture and live presentation will take place on Friday, Aug. 15, at 5 p.m. at the Stanley Museum and 8 p.m. at the Redfish Center.
    The weekend also includes the final “Scones and Scenery” event for the summer at the Redfish Center & Gallery on Friday, Aug. 15, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Meet the regional and Idaho artists whose work is on exhibit at the gallery where all visitors and

Get ready for Girls on the Run
    Registration is under way for the fall season of Girls on the Run. The season will begin Sept. 15 and run through Nov. 23. Online registration is available at www.imathlete.com. The sites include Hemingway Elementary, Hailey Elementary, Woodside Elementary, Bellevue Elementary and the Community School.
    The Girls on Track program for middle-school-aged girls will also begin Sept. 15, at Wood River Middle School. They will meet from 3:45-5 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. For more information about the topics to be covered during the Girls on Track season, visit www.girlsontherunwrv.org.
