A Hagerman man remained in serious condition Tuesday at a Boise hospital after being injured last week in a motorcycle accident near Galena Summit.
The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office reported Monday that 56-year-old Clinton Palmer was transported to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center following the accident on Aug. 4. Sheriff Gene Ramsey said Palmer was initially taken by Ketchum Fire Department ambulance from the crash scene to Smiley Creek, from where he was transported to Saint Alphonsus by emergency helicopter.
Ramsey said the accident occurred at about 5:50 p.m. when Palmer, northbound on a 1981 Yamaha, lost control of the motorcycle when he “failed to negotiate the curve” on the north side of the summit.
Ramsey said Palmer was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
