Symphony gala set for Sunday
In celebration of the Sun Valley Summer Symphony’s milestone 30th anniversary, lawn tickets are available at $75 per ticket for the symphony’s Gala Concert with Renée Fleming on Sunday, Aug. 3, at 6:30 p.m. at the Sun Valley Pavilion.
This is the first time since the symphony’s 2010 benefit concert with Garth Brooks that the lawn will be open for a benefit performance. As the one performance of the summer concert season that isn’t free, the annual fundraiser helps fund all of the free summer concerts, as well as the Sun Valley Summer Symphony School of Music and adult music education programs.
Known as much for her stage presence as her voice, Fleming has recorded movie soundtracks, indie-rock and pop covers, jazz and opera. The Grammy Award winner will perform everything from popular music to well-known arias.
Pavilion seating is sold out. Lawn tickets must be purchased online at svsummersymphony.org.
