Courthouse Refurbishing Is Under Way

Sheathed in scaffolding, the old Blaine County Courthouse in Hailey awaits a new roof, expected to be in place by the end of November. County Director of Operations Char Nelson said the approximately $1 million project is going smoothly and is on schedule. She said workers are in the process of removing the soffits under the current roof and will have the ceiling insulation removed by Monday. She said the new roof will be red—the color of the original one, as determined by the Idaho State Historical Society.
