43rd Ray Nelson baseball schedule

     Four Wood River Baseball and Softball Association youth baseball teams are among 24 Idaho squads in three divisions gathering in Hailey for the 43rd annual Ray Nelson Invitational tournament Thursday through Saturday, July 24-26.

     Games are played mostly at Nelson Field. Other sites are Founders Field, Wood River High School softball field, and the Wood River Middle School baseball field, all in Hailey.

     Here is the remaining schedule of pool play on Friday, July 25 and bracket information for Saturday, July 26:


Wood River 15-U team

     Friday games at Founder’s Field: Meridian 15’s vs. Shock at 7:45 a.m. Wood River vs. Caldwell at 10 a.m. Shock vs. Maniacs at 12:15 p.m. Wood River vs. North Side at 2:30 p.m. Caldwell vs. Meridian 15’s at 4:45 p.m. Shock vs. Cannons at 7 p.m.

     Friday games at WRMS: North Side vs. Maniacs at 7:45 a.m. North Side vs. Cannons at 10 a.m. Caldwell vs. Cannons.

     Saturday tournament play: Game 1—No.5 seed vs. No 4 at 9:45 a.m. at WRMS. Game 2—No.3 seed vs. No 7 at 7:30 a.m. at Founder’s Field. Game—3 No. 2 seed vs. No 6 seed at 9:45 a.m. at Founder’s Field.

     Game 4—Winner of game 1 vs. No. 1 seed at 3 p.m. at Founder’s Field. Game 5—Winners of game 2 vs. winner of game 3.

     Championship Game—winner of game 4 vs. winner of game 5 at 6 p.m. at Founder’s Field.


Wood River 12-U All Stars team

     Friday games at WRMS: Crush vs. Twin Falls at 8 a.m. at Nelson Field 2; Beast vs. Wood River Green at 8 a.m. at Nelson Field 1. North Side vs. Wood River All Stars at 10 a.m. at Nelson Field 2; Wood River Green vs. Twin Falls at 10 a.m. at Nelson Field 1.

     Wood River All Stars vs. Beast at noon at Nelson Field 2; North Side vs. Crush at noon at Nelson Field 1. Beast vs. Crush at 2 p.m. at Nelson Field 2. Wood River All Stars vs. Twin Falls at 4 p.m. at Nelson Field 2; Wood River Green vs. North Side at 4 p.m. at Nelson Field 1.

     Skills challenge at 6 p.m. at Nelson Field 1.

     Saturday tournament play: Game 1—No. 4 seed vs. No. 6 at 9 a.m. at Nelson Field 2. Game 2—No. 5 vs. No. 3 at 9 a.m. at Nelson Field 1. Game 3—No. 1 vs. winner of Game 1. Game 4—No. 2 vs. winner of Game 2.

     Championship game—winner of Game 3 vs. winner of Game 4.


Wood River 10-U All Star team

     All Friday games at WRMS Nelson Field 3: Wood River Green vs. North Side at 8 a.m. Wood River All Stars vs. Ammon at 10 a.m. North Side vs. Ammon at noon. Wood River All Stars vs. North Side at 2 p.m. Ammon vs. Wood Rive Green at 4 p.m.

     Saturday tournament play: Game 1—No. 1 seed vs. No. 4 at 9 a.m. Game 2—No. 3 vs. No. 2 at 11 a.m.

     Championship game—winner of Game 1 vs. winner of Game 2 at 2 p.m.
