Briefs

Airport asks ‘90 before 9’
With United Express nonstop flights between Hailey and Denver beginning July 2, Friedman Memorial Airport is advising passengers departing on all morning flights to show up at least 90 minutes before their departure time.
The Denver flight, which departs at 7:34 a.m., will be added to two existing morning flights, a Delta flight to Salt Lake City at 6:50 a.m. and a United flight to San Francisco at 8:35 a.m.
The airport states that the combination of the three flights will result in a very busy time for check-ins and security.
A celebration will be held at the terminal on Wednesday, July 2, from 8:30-9:45 p.m. to welcome the inaugural nonstop flight from Denver. Champagne and cake will be served.

Road closures during bike festival
Multiple roads in downtown Ketchum will be closed Friday evening for the Smith Optics Ride Sun Valley Bike Festival. The segments of street framing Ketchum Town Square—parts of Sun Valley Road, East Avenue, Fourth Street and Leadville Avenue—will be closed from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Only the East Avenue southbound lane and parking on Town Square from Fourth Street to Sun Valley Road will be closed Thursday evening to Sunday evening.
There will be “soft” road closures on Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on East Avenue (between Fourth Street and Fifth Street, Sun Valley Road and Second Street), Sun Valley Road (between Main Street and Leadville Avenue, East Avenue and Walnut Street), Leadville Avenue (between Fourth Street and Fifth Street, Sun Valley Road and Second Avenue), and Fourth Street (between Main Street and Leadville Avenue, East Avenue and Walnut Avenue).
The East Avenue northbound lane and parking will be open all weekend.
