School district selects Wellness Committee
The Blaine County School District announced this week that four people have been selected to serve on the district’s new Wellness Committee.
Members are student representative Christian Hovey, parent representative Kris Stoffer, community representative Sarah Seppa and school representative Kevin Stilling, a physical education teacher.
The four were selected from 11 applicants by a committee chaired by interim Superintendent John Blackman. Input was provided by incoming Superintendent Gwen Carol Holmes.
“We would like to thank everyone who completed an interest form for your willingness to serve the district,” Blackman said. “We look forward to working together to achieve the goals set forth in the newly revised wellness policy in an effort to support our children’s health, well-being and ability to learn by laying groundwork in the areas of healthy eating, physical activity and emotional wellness.”
