Rich Fabiano

Erin Smith, an attorney with a background in finance and entrepreneurship, has been appointed by Mayor Nina Jonas to the Ketchum Planning and Zoning Commission.
Smith is currently on the board of directors of Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, Calif. She previously served two years on the board of the Animal Shelter of the Wood River Valley.
Smith replaces Rich Fabiano, whose term is expiring. A longtime Ketchum resident, Fabiano has been on the P&Z for seven years. Lisa Enourato, communications coordinator for the city of Ketchum, said Fabiano was a “dedicated, hardworking and contributing member of the commission.” She added that Fabiano, who worked in the development and construction industry, was a protector of the environment throughout his P&Z tenure.
“[Fabiano] has a special passion for our streams, riparian areas and water quality,” she said. “[He] walked the watercourses in Ketchum in 2010 and inventoried the condition and health of the waterways and riparian areas with hopes to ensure the protection and care of these areas.”
