Hailey police are becoming increasingly concerned about the safety of two Blaine County teenagers who have been missing for two weeks.
Hailey police Lt. Steve England said Monday that 17-year-old Zachariah Spor and 16-year-old Perla Nava are believed to be traveling in a stolen vehicle they took from Hailey when they became missing on Wednesday, May 21, but otherwise are believed to have left without money or any other resources.
“To survive without resources, you’ve got to start thinking out of the box, and that’s what we’re afraid of,” England said. “We want to find them as soon as possible.
“We know for a fact from phone calls they’ve made that they’ve been in southern Nevada and southern California,” he said. “We’re just getting concerned about their safety.”

England said Spor, of Hailey and a student at Silver Creek High School, and Nava, of Bellevue and a student at Wood River High School, both left their schools at about 2 p.m. on May 21. Later that afternoon, a woman living on Golconda Drive in east Hailey was unloading groceries from her car. England said the woman had gone into her house and returned for more groceries when she discovered the vehicle was gone.
“So that vehicle comes up missing and we put two and two together,” England said. “We believe they’re together. We’re not sure, but we believe they’re in that car and that’s their only mode of transportation.”
England described the vehicle as a gray 2008 Honda Civic with Idaho license plate 5B77044.

“We’ve been searching with friends and families but our leads are running dry,” England said.
