Republicans should look at what they stand for

I saw a notice that the Blaine County Republican Party is having a meeting to “reorganize.” I think that’s great. They should start by reorganizing their thinking about the environment.
Republicans want to get rid of the Environmental Protection Agency. Perhaps what each person holding this viewpoint needs is a goldfish bowl. Yes, a goldfish bowl, which represents an enclosed environment just like our Earth. What happens if you don’t clean the fish water after a few weeks? You can’t see through the water because of the pollution and eventually the fish dies. This is what each and every Republican vote will do to the children of this world by supporting positions against the environment and global warming.
And while Republicans are at it, perhaps they should reexamine their positions on the Affordable Care Act, which has helped so many Idahoans. You, the very people who vote Republican. It’s the Republicans who don’t want Wall Street reformed and are blocking President Obama’s efforts to protect you from predatory banks that prey upon your family. President Obama started a consumer protection agency. The Republicans oppose protecting consumers. You and your children are those consumers and you still vote Republican? Crazy.
