A 46-year-old Twin Falls woman was listed in critical condition Tuesday at a Boise hospital after being injured in a two-vehicle accident Monday on state Highway 75 near the Blaine County and Lincoln County border.
Idaho State Police reported that Cynthia S. Devries was transported by air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center following the crash at about 11:45 a.m.
Two other people, Bryan C. Holman, 22, of Keller, Texas, and a passenger in a vehicle driven by Holman, Janell Waldram, 20, of Washington state, were transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls. Holman was listed in good condition Monday night but was not listed as a patient at the hospital on Tuesday. Waldram was listed in good condition on Tuesday.
ISP reported in a news release that the accident occurred when Devries, northbound in a 2004 Ford Focus, crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2005 Hyundai Elantra driven by Holman. ISP reported that the Devries vehicle then drove back across the northbound lane and came to rest on the east shoulder of the highway.
ISP further reported that all three people involved in the accident were wearing seatbelts.
Highway 75 traffic was diverted for about two and a half hours because of road blockage.
The accident remained under investigation on Tuesday.
