Community School lauds placements

37 students accepted at first- or second-choice institutions

    The Community School in Sun Valley reported this week that even in a highly competitive college admissions environment that 37 of its graduating seniors have been accepted at either their first or second choice for higher education.
   Twenty-four of the private school’s seniors were accepted at their first choice for college while seven were accepted at their second choice.
   The school reported that seniors will be attending prestigious institutions such as Williams College, Middlebury College, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Virginia, Duke University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Southern California, the University of California, Los Angeles and the Eastman School of Music.
   Community School seniors also collectively received between $800,000 and $1 million in merit-based college scholarships, the school reported.
