Relay wins for SV5B at Snake River finals

In Idaho Falls


     Sun Valley 5B swimmers placed seventh overall with its girls’ team in fourth place during the 2014 Snake River Swimming Winter Championships April 4-6 at Wes Diest Aquatic Center in Idaho Falls.

     There were 350 swimmers from 15 teams there. First-place finishes for coach Brian Gallagher’s team were:

     The 200 medley relay in the Women’s 15-19 class with Kaedi Fry, Maddie Johnson, Ashley Dreyfus and Katherine Lemma; and 200 free relay with Dreyfus, Fry, Johnson and Lemma;

     Individual first places came from Mason Johnson (Boys’ 13-14) in 200 back, 200 and 400 I.M., and 200 and 500 free; Maddie Johnson (Women 15-19) in 200 breast, 200 I.M., 200 back and 500 free; and Kaedi Fry 50 and 100 breast in 15-19 class.

     Next up for SV5B: The Boise YMCA’s Spring Fling Invitational at the West Y May 16-18.

     Other SV5B top scorers in their classes at Idaho Falls:

     2—Maddie Johnson 50 and 200 free, 100 breast; Kaedi Fry 100 fly and 200 back; Ashley Dreyfus 50 fly; Zach Deal 50 back, 100 breast and 200 free. 3—Katherine Lemma 50 and 500 free; Mason Johnson 100 back; Petra Glenn 500 free. 4—Faye Prekeges 50 and 200 back. 8—Danielle Doerflein 50 and 200 breast.
