Sun Valley offers “Ski and “Tee” special

Front Nine golfing opens Friday

It’s not every year that Sun Valley Resort can offer a “Ski and Tee” special that incorporates skiing on Baldy with same-day golfing on the Front Nine at Sun Valley Golf Course.

Those are two seasonal recreations that, with the dry winter and early spring, are possible in 2014 to do on the same day—skiing or riding in morning, and teeing it up on the golf course in the afternoon.

Sun Valley Golf Course’s Front Nine will open for the season Friday, April 18 and make it possible for skiing and golfing to occur through the Sun Valley Resort ski lift closing date of Sunday, April 20.

Head PGA Professional Dominick Conti said that early-season rates will apply. That will be $39 per person for nine holes and $65 for as many holes as you can play in a day. The cost includes cart.

Also open are Sun Valley Resort’s driving range and practice greens by the Sun Valley Clubhouse. The golf pro shop and practice facilities are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The 18-hole Sawtooth Putting Course will be available for play. Call 622-2251 for a tee time. Special lodging packages are offered.
