Simpson has been too quiet about Bergdahl

It is with deep regret that I resign as Congressman Mike Simpson’s re-election chairperson for Blaine County.
I feel, though, that I have little choice. Congressman Simpson has been unwilling to take a public stand on the effort to secure the release of Idaho’s own Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who has been held by the Taliban since 2009. Congressman Simpson’s primary opponent, Bryan Smith, has stated that Bowe’s release would be a priority if elected.
Bowe is Congressman Simpson’s constituent, as are his parents who anxiously wait for their only son’s return. Shame on Congressman Simpson for turning his back on this matter. It’s not right—and for that reason, I can no longer support him.
