Supreme Court justice deserves another term

On May 20, Idahoans will have the opportunity to re-elect Supreme Court Justice Joel Horton. I urge them to do so.
He is a tremendous jurist and citizen. Before I began working for him as a law clerk, I heard that he was smart with an uncanny memory for the law. No one talked about whether he was “pro plaintiff” or “pro defense.” The rumors about the justice’s intelligence and memory are true. His only agenda is to follow the law and serve the public. He is often the first person to arrive at the courthouse and the last person to leave.
In my two years working with Justice Horton, I came to know a man never swayed by anything other than legal reasoning. His commitment to service extends beyond his day-to-day work. Justice Horton is an asset and dedicated to Idaho, and Idahoans should keep him on the bench.
