PEOPLE & PLACES

    · Connor Brown of Sun Valley graduated from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo., on Dec. 21, 2013. Brown received a bachelor’s degree with a major in Marketing.

    · James Paris of Hailey has earned the Dean’s Award for academic excellence during the 2013 fall academic term at Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y. The Wood River High School graduate and Colgate track and field team member earned at least a 3.30 GPA for at least four courses to achieve the honor.

    · Sophia Carkonen of Sun Valley and Emily Williams of Hailey have achieved Dean’s List honors (3.4 GPA or higher) at Tufts University in Medford, Mass., for the fall 2013 semester.

     · Twelfth-grade student Marlow M. Mizer of Hailey earned High Honors for the fall 2013 term at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, N.H. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Mizer of Hailey.

     · Named to the Dean’s Honor Roll (GPA 3.5 or better) for the 2013 fall semester at Montana State University in Bozeman were Ketchum students Austin Moses, Scott Phelan and William Spiller.

     · Alexander Henning of Hailey was one of more than 1,000 Montana State University undergraduates receiving diplomas Dec. 14 during MSU’s 2013 fall commencement ceremonies in Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
