State could save $50 million on Medicaid

There are two parts of ObamaCare that are good. One is that young adults can be on their parents’ insurance until they are 26 years old.
But, what is the second good part? What will save the state at least $50 million a year? Some $50 million that could be for the schools? Answer? Redesigning Medicaid with federal funds and closing down the inefficient Indigent Fund that cost $52 million last year and will cost $60 million (state money) this year. Good deal.
But, why haven’t they done it? Elections. Because it will look like they are supporting ObamaCare. Surely, as a state we can see the good parts and use them for the future of Idaho. Surely, no lawmaker need be worried that saving $50-plus million for education will cost them their re-election. And surely Idahoans will support those lawmakers who can see a good deal and act on it. These would be the lawmakers that we want representing us. Lawmakers that have the courage to end an inefficient system, utilize federal funds to implement a better system, and give teachers a raise.
Let’s support representatives and senators that have that courage. Redesign Medicaid and pay our teachers more!
