2014 Boulder Mountain Ski Tour Results


February 1, 2014, the 39th annual cross-country ski tour, lengthened this year from its traditional 32-kilometer (19.8-mile) distance to 35 kilometers (21.7 miles) because of low snow conditions. The course started at Senate Creek near Galena Lodge Touring Center 23 miles north of Ketchum and ended at the Sawtooth National Recreation Area headquarters 8 miles north of Ketchum. Of 625 racers who finished the 35k course—43 fewer than last year, 89 fewer than two years ago and 145 fewer than three years ago—387 were male and 238 female. Senior racers were JoAnn Levy, 73, of Sun Valley and Bill Gardner, 75, of Broomfield, Co. Youngest were Joseph Bonacci, 8, of Salt Lake City, Utah and Sabine Wilson, 10, of Park City, Utah.
