105 racers kick off Town Series gate races

Weekly team races on Baldy

    Miles Fink-Debray (14.90 seconds) and Robin Sarchett (14.97) of the DTF team led 105 racers Wednesday in the first dual modified giant slalom race of the 23rd annual Sun Valley Town Series on Baldy.
   Fastest racers after two runs, with the best single run counting, came from the DTF, Sturtevant’s, SVSEF, Teka-soreasses, Glow Fast, Shot Skis, Freestyle, All 4 All teams and Chicks on Sticks foursomes.
   The alpine team racing se-ries for locals continues each Wednesday at 11 a.m. through March 19—except for Feb. 19 and 26. The post-race party on Wednesday, Jan. 29 is at Sea-sons Steak House in Hailey.
   Town Series sponsors are Sun Valley Resort and Watkins Distributing. Local businesses generously donate prizes for the weekly series.

   Rabbits in the middle of the pack were Chris Key of Teka-soreasses 19.54 and Alex Jack-son of Chicks on Sticks 19.61.
