Two Blaine County men have been charged with felony possession of methamphetamine after being arrested at the Cutters Subdivision on Saturday evening by Hailey police.

Emilio Valencia, 30, of Hailey, remained incarcerated Tuesday in the Blaine County jail on $75,000 bond. In addition to the methamphetamine charge, he was arrested on a warrant in an earlier case against him. He was also charged with the misdemeanor crimes of resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia at an initial court appearance Monday in Blaine County Magistrate Court.

Also charged with meth possession was Victor A. Landeros, 19, of Hailey. He was charged in addition with the misdemeanor crimes of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Landeros was released from custody on $5,000 bond following an initial court appearance Monday.

Hailey Police Chief Jeff Gunter reported in a press release that the arrests occurred after patrol officers investigated a suspicious vehicle, a 1998 Ford F150 pickup, parked sideways on Grays Starlight Drive at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

A 17-year-old Hailey boy was also with Valencia and Landeros and charged with the misdemeanor crimes of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gunter reported that the boy was not jailed but was instead released to the custody of his parents.
