Participate in the planning process

I am a member of the city of Sun Valley Steering Committee for the 10-year Comprehensive Plan Update. The committee is made up of volunteers from the city and representatives of the Sun Valley Co. The Steering Committee has been meeting for a year on the community vision for the next 10 years for the city of Sun Valley.
I would like to encourage all citizens to come to the city of Sun Valley website (sunvalley.govoffice.com) and look at our working documents. Please attend the next meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 3 p.m. at Sun Valley City Hall or submit your thoughts via the website.
We are discussing and finalizing our recommendations for the city, including the Gateway and Proctor Hill areas. Once this has been done, the recommendations will then go to Planning and Zoning and then on to the City Council.
I am proud to see the commitment from all the Steering Committee members in talking through many areas of disagreement that are representative of our wonderful diverse city. I would also like to thank our two city liaisons, Mark Hofman and Isabel Lui, for their hours of work on pulling together all the information for this process.
