Ski Club Reunion Week is Jan. 5-10

Social events, skiing and more

It’s been going on exactly the same number of years as the Super Bowl.

The 48th annual Sun Valley Ski Club Reunion Week is being held about a month earlier this time around to coincide better with holiday travelers visiting Sun Valley Resort.

Ski Club Reunion Week begins Sunday, Jan. 5 with the welcome reception party at Sun Valley Clubhouse. There is also a Ski Club slalom race at 10 a.m. that day on Baldy.

Monday’s social event after a good day of skiing on Jan. 6 is the Austrian Night Party/Buffet at Carol’s Dollar Mountain Lodge.

Returning on Tuesday, Jan. 7 is the Robert and Rosemary Bradford Memorial giant slalom on Baldy.

A highlight of Reunion Week, the Bradford Cup is part of the Baldy Cup series. It is free for ski club members. Registration is from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Warm Springs Lodge.

Later that Tuesday, the club’s annual meeting and après ski party will be conducted in the Sun Valley Inn’s Limelight Salon C.

On Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 11 a.m., the Barbara Tollerup Memorial cross-country tour/lunch at Sun Valley Clubhouse will be hosted again by Harold Tollerup. It is limited to ski club members.

The club’s annual dinner dance is Thursday, Jan. 9 in the Lodge Dining Room, then you can ski with the club president and have lunch at Lookout atop Baldy Friday, Jan. 10.
