A Florida man faces two felony and two misdemeanor charges after he was arrested by police Saturday morning at the Sun Valley Inn.
Sun Valley Police Chief Walt Femling said Monday that Chauncey Luskin, 56, of North Palm Beach, Fla., was taken into custody on felony charges of malicious destruction of property and possession of cocaine and misdemeanor charges of battery and resisting and obstructing officers. Femling said Luskin remained incarcerated Monday in the Blaine County jail, awaiting an initial court appearance.
Police were called to the Sun Valley Inn shortly before 5:30 a.m. on Saturday.
“We received several complaints of loud music and what sounded like a fight coming from the unit,” Femling said.
He said that once there police found numerous broken items in the room, amounting to more than $5,000 in damage. He said police also saw Luskin strike a family member and that when searched they found cocaine in Luskin’s pocket. Femling said Luskin also allegedly resisted arrest when taken into custody.
