A Matter of Policy

Since November of last year, I have been the only private citizen in attendance at every regular monthly Sun Valley City Council meeting.
Despite being silenced and publicly admonished for requesting that Sun Valley’s government establish equitable policies and consistently apply them, I will continue to do so.
The municipal code of Sun Valley is silent on the topic of ethics in government.
The municipal code of the City of Boise, the city’s 98-page Ethics Handbook, and its Ethics Commission serve as examples of how another city embraces the highest ideals of ethical behavior.
It can be argued that if the City of Sun Valley did have established policies that were consistently followed and enforced with regard to ethical conduct, the volume of litigation the tax payers of Sun Valley continue to endure, would not be so great.
