The Community School in Sun Valley has scheduled three days of activities for alumni of the private school. Soccer, river rafting, a barbecue and more are planned when the reunion starts on Friday, July 5.
Festivities start at 4 p.m. that day with a faculty-versus-alumni soccer game at Sagewillow Field in Sun Valley. A barbecue will follow at 6:30 p.m. at the Community School quadrangle.
River rafting is planned for Saturday in Sunbeam, east of Stanley, with White Otter Outfitters. The event starts at 9 a.m. and includes three hours of rafting on the upper main Salmon River.
Also planned for Saturday is a faculty-led hike starting at 10 a.m., followed by a no-host lunch at Grumpy’s Burgers & Beer on Warm Springs Road in Ketchum.
Individual classes will also hold parties Saturday afternoon and into the evening for 10-, 20- and 30-year reunions.
The reunion will end on Sunday with coffee and a farewell continental breakfast at 10 a.m. at the school. Current students will lead tours of the new and renovated buildings on the main campus, as well as optional tours of the residential hall in Warm Springs.
Family and friends are invited but registration is required.
