Bergdahl event showed solidarity

The Bowe Bergdahl event in Hailey on Saturday was a fabulous event to have in our valley, an unconditional show of support for one of our community members and all of their family.
Bowe, you have facilitated something that is rarely seen in the Wood River Valley. Municipal officials from all four cities and county officials, gathered at the same location, speaking on the same topic and all agreeing on the issue at hand and each delivering a positive message in support of that issue. Amazing deeds can be accomplished here in our valley, if we all are willing to work together for the betterment of our valley as a whole, from Silver Creek to Galena.
My hope is that this will be the catalyst for our elected officials to work to find common ground and work together on any and all issues as they arise, to protect and enhance the resources, safety and quality of life in all of our communities in the Wood River Valley.
