43 enjoy Hailey Skate Park contest

Saturday morning rides


    Thanks to the city of Hailey and community contributions, the second annual Hailey Skateboard Competition turned out to be a big success for 43 competitors Saturday, June 29 at Hailey Skate Park.
    Skateboarders with the highest score in their age groups won medals and prizes.
    In the raffle, Sophia Calcagno won a fix gear bike from Powerhouse Fit Studio, Hailey. Cole Reeves won a Blaine County Recreation District Nordic season pass.
    Here are age group winners:
    l Girls’ 11-12: 1—Phoebe Ericksen. 2—Samantha Ferguson.
    l Boys’ 5-8: 1—Lachlin McFarland. 2—Ryan Ferguson. 3—Gage Wilson.
    l Boys’ 9-10: 1—Jake Charpentier. 2—Ridge Dirksmeier. 3—Sam Ware.
    l Boys’ 11-12: 1—Jed Waters. 2—David Rau. 3—Ethan Duran.
    l Boys’ 13-14: 1—Koa Cortina. 2—Clyde Montgomery. 3—Jake Jacobs.
    l Boys’ 15-16: 1—Johnathan Hernandez.
    l Men 17-18: 1—Ben Parker. 2—Wyatt Caccia. 3—Brandon Dolenar.
    l Men 19-25: 1—Gene Fairbrother. 2—Colton Ahenakew. 3—Jose Ruiz.
    l Older Dudes: 1—Chris Cope. 2—Danny Martinez. 3—Shane Smitty.
