Our beloved Juan Inocente Hernandez was born on Dec. 28, 1949, in Guatemala City, son of Rafael and Felipe Estrada Hernandez. Juan passed away peacefully on June 19, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.
Juan grew up in Guatemala and it was there where he met his wife, Marta Hernandez. They had two children, Maria Elena and Juan Luis. He then came to the United States where he lived in California for many years before moving to Idaho in 2005 with his wife Marta, daughter Maria Elena and her husband, and two grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors. He was a devoted member of St. Charles Catholic Church who always volunteered his time at any event. He spent many years teaching Catechism at the Catholic Church where he met many friends and became part of his Catholic Church family.
As the youngest of seven siblings, Juan was always the soft-spoken child with a great loving heart. Through his love for life and grace, he impacted our lives in a very special way. He taught us how to become better individuals and sons/daughters of God. He is survived by his wife (Marta), children (Maria Elena and Juan Luis, grandchildren (Joel, Diana, Luis, and Rosio), his nephews and nieces (Carlos, Marco, Herberth, Evelyn and Ana), siblings (Francisco, Gregoria, Beto, and Juana), and other family.
Juan has left emptiness in our hearts. Our family and friends thank God for the time we were able to share with Juan. We are left with beautiful memories of such a kind-hearted man. Juanito, we will never forget you, always in our hearts. In Christ, we say, see you again!
