Sun Valley Resort announced this week that more terrain will be open for skiers and snowboarders on both Bald and Dollar mountains on Saturday, Dec. 14.
Bald Mountain will have eight lifts in operation on Saturday, including Seattle Ridge No. 12 and Mayday No. 14. Those additional lifts will service the Seattle Ridge area, Gun Tower Lane, Gretchen’s Gold and Upper Broadway.
Dollar Mountain will reopen on Saturday, after a closure following the Thanksgiving weekend season kickoff. The Full Dollar lift, Quarter Dollar lift and the Accelerator “magic carpet” will be operational. The new terrain opening will include New Bowl and Dollar Face.
Carol’s Dollar Mountain Lodge will also re-open for the season on Saturday. All of Bald Mountain’s restaurants will be open daily for the season. The Roundhouse restaurant will be serving dinner Thursday through Saturdays.
Sun Valley officials said they are continuing to take advantage of cold weather to make snow at both ski areas.
