La Fawn Rae Pierce

La Fawn “Fawn” Rae Pierce passed away Nov. 27, 2013.
La Fawn was born Feb. 21, 1954, in Ravenna, Ohio, to Arnold and Joyce Ruggles. They moved to Oregon when she was a young teen and La Fawn attended high school in Yamhill, Ore. La Fawn has been a Caldwell, Idaho, resident since the 80s.
La Fawn is survived by her son, Robert Williams; grandchildren Apollo and Brandi Williams; parents, Arnold and Joyce Ruggles; siblings—sister, Gail Elliott, and husband Chris Elliott, brothers, Rick Ruggles, Randy Ruggles, wife Anna, Chris Ruggles, wife Nora, and Ronnie Ruggles, wife Gwen; step-daughter, Stacy Ryker; nephews, nieces, cousins and many dear friends.
La Fawn was never happier than when she was with her grandchildren and her horses, especially when riding with her friends and the “Canyon County Cowgirl Drill Team,” which she founded. She worked hard, played hard and lived life to the fullest every day. She was a cowgirl through and through. Her family and friends could count on La Fawn no matter the situation. She is best known for her phrase, “Cowboy up and put your big britches on!”
Memorial service will be held Dec. 15 at the Nampa Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 3 p.m. Donations to honor La Fawn may be sent to the Idaho Humane Society to support all the animals that she donated numerous hours to care for.
Thank you everyone who cared and showed love for La Fawn. She will be missed by all who ever knew her.
