A time for Santa and big feasts

The Wood River Valley was abuzz with activity over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Clockwise from top: 1) 4-year-old Henry Greener greets Santa with a big hug and a full list of Christmas gift ideas Saturday downstairs at Giacobbi Square in Ketchum. 2) More than 600 participants took part in the 10th annual Hailey Turkey Trot, a family-friendly 5K race held on Thanksgiving Day to get people outdoors and stimulate their appetites. Here, some of the race contestants cross over the Bow Bridge of the Big Wood River and enter the Draper Wood River Preserve near Lion’s Park. 3) Jeff Crosby, an Idaho-bred and California-based musician, plays Saturday with his band, The Refugees, inside the River Run Lodge. 4) Who has dibs on that drumstick? Scarlett Rebel Casey spent her first Thanksgiving in Hailey with an eye on some of the fixings.
