On a mild Thanksgiving morning, 617 participants enjoyed the 10th anniversary Hailey Turkey Trot on a 5-kilometer (3.1-mile) course starting from Sturtos in Hailey. Event organizer Daryl Fauth (shown here) said the Nov. 28 Turkey Trot raised $4,000 for its two charities—Souper Supper that provides hot meals for families and individuals in need, and the self-esteem building after-school program Girls on the Run. Former Wood River High School track and cross country runner Ben Stout (16:45) set a new course record to win first place in the Adult Male category. There was a tie for first place in Adult Female between Angenie McCleary and Michelle Jensen (19:31). Fastest youth (17-and-under) runners were Alex Gonzalez (17:34) and Eve Jensen (19:30).
