Asphalt Slabs Being Hauled Away

Idaho Sand and Gravel Co. on Monday began removing old asphalt slabs from a state Highway 75 construction zone south of Ketchum. The Idaho Transportation Department reported last week that motorists may experience some delays while the work takes place. Removing the slabs is expected to take up to two weeks. ITD earlier planned to leave the slabs until construction resumed next spring, but the agency changed its position because of numerous complaints from the public and local officials.
