NXN Northwest Regional results

Team High Altitude and Idaho Ice Track Club set numerous personal records

     Team High Altitude and The Idaho Ice Track Club competed in the Nike Cross Northwest Regional Race at Eagle Island on Saturday and came away with great results.

     Team High Altitude competed in the Varsity Boys and Girls 5K race. Both Janel Passey and Mariah Stout both ran personal best times for the year in the girls 5k.

     Passey came in 19th place and medaled for coming in the top 20 with a time of 20:15.2. Stout finished with a time of 20:58.7, which is also a personal best.

     Amy Cantrell finished with a time of 23:27.8 and Hallie MacPherson finished with a time of 25:22.9.

     In the Varsity Boys 5K, Alexis Gonzalez had a time of 18:43.9, Ty Reinemann had a time of 19:00.2, Irvin Gonzalez had a time of 19:26.9, Kenny Pratt had a time of 22:04.2, Cooper Dean had a time of 23:05.2 and Colby Castle had a time of 23:31.9.

     The boys finished with an average time of 20:28.08.

     The Idaho Ice Track Club competed in the Junior Varsity 3K race, and Anna Bernbaum finished 3rd place in the girls’ 5-6 age group with a time of 13:27.2. Lauren Roberts took fourth place with a time of 12:33.7. Candence Campbell took 11th place with a time of 22:34.6. Liesl Gerlach took sixth place in the 4 and under age group with a time of 17:51.7.

     Kirsys Campbell came in fourth in the girls 7+ age group with a time of 12:09.5.

     Henry Raff took fourth place in the boys 7+ age group with a time of 11:06.9.

     Idaho Ice Track Club took first place as a team in the 7+ age group with 18 total points and an average time of 12:16.32.

 

     Idaho Ice Track Club competes in Camel Back Park

    The Idaho Ice Track Club competed at Camel Back Park in Boise on Saturday, Nov. 9.

     Eighth graders Kirsys Campbell and Henry Raff ran against the top runners in the west. 

     Both Campbell and Raff lost some ground on the first part of their 4k courses, but were able to make some ground in the race. It was an impressive showing from both Campbell and Raff as they both stayed right with the leaders of the pack.

     In the end, Campbell finished 2nd (15:37) and Raff finished 3rd (14:16).

     Also doing very well and running with personal records were Anna Bernbaum and Lauren Roberts. 

     Bernbaum was the only first place finisher in the girls’ 9-10 age group with a time of 12:37 in the 3k.  Roberts finished second in the girls 3k 11-12 age group with a time of 12:33.
