Cross country runners head to state race

Saturday in Idaho Falls

Cross country runners from Hailey’s Wood River High School (14 qualifiers) and the Community School of Sun Valley (3 qualifiers) are headed to Freeman Park in Idaho Falls Saturday, Nov. 2 for the State 4A and 2A 3.1-mile footraces presented by the Idaho High School Activities Association. The 4A girls’ race starts the big day at 11 a.m. and the 4A boys leave at 12 noon. The 2A girls take off at 1 p.m. and the 2A boys at 2 p.m. Posing here during the Great Basin Conference championship event Oct. 23 at Burley Golf Course is the GBC runner-up girls’ team from Wood River.
