Cheers for new Hailey noise ordinance

Congratulations and thanks are in order for Hailey’s new common-sense noise ordinance. The council clearly understands that our community loves live music and they have taken a common-sense approach to time limits to make enforcement that much more reasonable.
I particularly like that the council recognizes that the venues perfect for concerts be given some latitude. This is in contrast to Ketchum Mayor Randy Hall’s statement last week that he wants to propose a stricter ordinance for his town, mostly because of backlash from their granting haphazard exemptions and not simply enforcing the existing rules.
Well we’re happy to take all of Ketchum’s live music business here once that town becomes quiet enough to hear the crickets on the Camas Prairie. Everyone come on down to hear great music and our restaurants and bars welcome everyone as well.
