A 65-year-old bicyclist was transported to St. Luke’s Wood River hospital on Saturday after he crashed into a trailer on state Highway 75 near the Baker Creek rest area north of Ketchum.
The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office identified the man as Zoran Djokic, of Connecticut.
Sheriff Gene Ramsey said the accident occurred at about 11:25 a.m.
“There was a pickup pulling a trailer that made a left turn into the rest area and Zoran comes riding down and runs into the back of trailer,” Ramsey said.
The sheriff said Djokic, complaining of neck and back pain, was taken to the hospital by Ketchum Fire Department ambulance.
Ramsey said Djokic apparently didn’t see the pickup and trailer before the collision.
“All he remembers is reaching for his water bottle,” the sheriff said.
