A new Young Adult season pass will allow 20-somethings to ski and board at Sun Valley this winter for $999. Sun Valley Co. also announced this week that its Sun Plus season pass for the 2013-14 winter season will include unlimited skiing and boarding at both Sun Valley and Snowbasin in Utah.
At early-season rates, the Sun Plus pass costs $1,899 and a regular season pass at Sun Valley for the 2013-14 winter season is $1,649, $50 more than last year’s pass.
The new passes go on sale today, June 28, and discounted rates will remain in effect until Sept. 2. After that date, the Sun Plus pass will cost $2,249, a regular pass will cost $1,949 and the Young Adult pass will cost $1,199.
Last year’s Sun Plus pass, which cost $1,749, allowed only six days at Snowbasin. The new Sun Plus pass also includes a summer 2013 pass for chairlift and gondola rides, six half-off friends and family vouchers, $40 off a Nordic season pass and a $169 rate at Grand America and $99 at Little America hotels in Salt Lake City.
A 20-day unrestricted pass costs $1,029 at the early-season rate, and will cost $1,299 after Sept. 2.
An Early/Late pass for the upcoming winter, which is valid from opening day through Dec. 15 and from March 24 through the end of season, costs $329, $30 more than it did last year.
Season pass rates for the 2013-14 season at several other major ski resorts—including Aspen, Jackson Hole and Snowbird—have not yet been announced. The early season rate at Deer Valley is $1,910 and at Park City is $780.
