The Bellevue Marshal’s Office is investigating vandalism to parked vehicles that occurred sometime Sunday night or early Monday morning.
Hailey Police Chief Jeff Gunter, whose agency is contracted to provide police services for Bellevue, said three vehicles were damaged that were parked west of the intersection of Main and Elm streets.
He said a 1997 Aerostar had a rear window broken out, a 1981 Mercedes-Benz had two side windows broken and a 1996 Ford Explorer had a front passenger window shattered.
“A couple of cars were rifled through but nothing was taken,” Gunter said. “The windows were broken with rocks.”
The police chief said total damage was estimated at $1,450.
“We do have some things we are following up on that will hopefully lead to an arrest and conviction,” he said.
