Laura Read

Laura Read (Lolly), 94, of Hailey, Idaho, passed on peacefully Oct. 3 in her home.
She is honored by her four children, 21 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Laura was born in Seattle, Wash., in October 1919 and raised in Oregon. Laura is a published writer of poetry and short stories. One of her grandchildren eloquently expressed:  “If after we die, we follow the bright light, go to the pearly gates, whatever the passage may be. I would love to be the fly on the cloud, the fly on the gate or the fly on the beam of light to see what becomes of this Amazing Lady.”
Laura’s last statement before passing was: “I’m ready for a new adventure.”
Cremation was under the care of Wood River Chapel. Friends are invited to leave a condolence, share memories and light a candle at www.woodriverchapel.com.
