School board should release Barber details

Wow!  The Blaine County school board election was just five months ago and the new board has ousted Superintendent Lonnie Barber, who served the district for nine years. So far, the board has refused to give any definite reason for this, except a change in philosophy. The election of the new board members was non-partisan.
It is imperative that the board give the voters of Blaine County an explicit explanation of what the change in philosophy was with Superintendent Barber.  With Blaine County school test scores being one of the highest in the state, it is doubtful Lonnie Barber was fired for incompetency. Since the election was non-partisan, political differences of opinion or philosophy cannot be allowed to be an issue. The Blaine County school board must tell the voters why they released Barber and how much was the buyout of his contract.   Using the McKinstry negotiations as the excuse is unacceptable.
