Support Jonas for Ketchum mayor

    Change is something some people are resistant to and other people seek. With regards to the city of Ketchum, I think Nina Jonas would be a great new mayor and a breath of fresh air.
   I have always avoided discussions about politics. At least this was the case for me until I met Nina Jonas. I had the complete joy of working for her at Rickshaw where I learned that politics are not all or nothing. When I heard about a community issue, I asked Nina and she would tell me the pros and cons. I could ask questions and she’d give me objective answers. She let me form my own opinions. Nina listens and has a pulse on the community. She has a unique view from not only being a local who was born and raised here, but being a business owner and knowing what it’s like to love this town and yet struggle with its economy.
   Nina has this passion for the community that is contagious and so often represents what so many of us are feeling. She wants to connect everyone, and she wants to create a community that will grow and thrive and get younger generations to settle down here. I was the classic “I moved here for the winters, stayed for the summers.” Well 13 years later, I want to remain here. I want to raise a family here. I call this valley home. And I hope more people like Nina, people who really connect with the “bread and butter” of this town, are elected to public office.
   I am voting for Nina Jonas for mayor because she relates to me, acknowledges me, and she inspires me to be a more active member in this community and to truly care for the future of this town. Please take the time to learn about those who are running, and please vote for Nina for Ketchum’s new mayor.
