A busy week for Homecoming

     Homecoming Week arrives Monday, Oct. 7 at Hailey’s Wood River High School.

     Special Homecoming activities continue through the Great Basin Conference football game against the Twin Falls Bruins Friday, Oct. 11 starting at 7 p.m. at Hailey’s Phil Homer Field.

     The Student Union and football team will be selling Wood River “green-out” shirts in town and at the game, advisor Christopher Koch said.

     Here is the Homecoming Week schedule and names of the royalty candidates:

     · Monday, Oct. 7: Dress-up is “Pajama Day.” The “Senior Night” boys’ varsity soccer game against Minico begins at 4:30 p.m.

     · Tuesday, Oct. 8: Dress-up is “Pro College Sports Day.”

     · Wednesday, Oct. 9: Dress-up is “Hawaiian Day.” Student movie night at 6:30 p.m. on the football field.

     · Thursday, Oct. 10: Dress-up is “Throwback Day.” Great Basin Conference boys’ soccer tournament game on the soccer field at 4:30 p.m. Volleyball team league matches with Minico begin at 6 p.m. with the freshmen and junior varsity in the high school gym, and the varsity at 7:30 p.m.

     · Friday, Oct. 11: Dress-up day is “Greenout—School Spirit.” Homecoming Parade at 3 p.m. down Main St. Football game 7 p.m. against Twin Falls including announcement of the royalty.

     Here are the candidates for the 2013 Homecoming royalty at Wood River High School:

     Senior girls (Queen): Haley Montgomery, Chloe Davis, Easton Kimball and Chloe Lichtenberg.

     Senior boys (King): Quinn Guthrie, Cooper Bailey, Eron Bates and Lane Coulthard.

     Junior girls: Sammy Sutton, Lucy Brannon, Megan Murphy and Rory Cole.

     Junior boys: Hayden Thayer, Sage Kelly, Jackson Toothman and Santiago Gomez.

     Sophomore girls: Courtney Hall, Carol Hoffman, Megan Sfingi and Grace Kotara.

     Sophomore boys: Jordan Bjorkman, Brady Delgadillo, Gunner Gibson and Alec Nordsieck.

     Freshman girls: Emma Coulthard, McKenna Norris, Julia Larson and Lilly Ward.

     Freshman boys: Owen Gifford, Jubal Toothman, Kenny Pratt and Travis Swanson.
