Documentaries Donated To Library

The Family of Woman Film Festival held in Sun Valley each spring brings films dedicated to improving conditions for women worldwide and is regularly sold out. That’s why co-organizers Peggy Goldwyn and Stephanie Fried-Perenchio eagerly donate the films when possible to The Community Library in Ketchum. Such was the case recently when they donated the films “The Invisible War,” an Academy Award nominee for Best Feature Documentary; “War Witch,” an Academy Award nominee for Best Foreign Film; “The World Before Her,” winner at the Toronto Film Festival; “Words of Witness” and “Weapon of War,” both winners of the Amnesty International Prize for Film. The theme for 2014 is “Women and Education.” The dates are March 7, 8 and 9, with a special speaker on March 6. New library Executive Director Cynthia Dillon (above right) was on hand to claim the films from Goldwyn, (above left) on behalf of the library.
