Support LOT increase for air service

Please vote “Yes” on the proposed 1 percent LOT increase on Nov. 5.
A business such as The Elephant’s Perch is directly dependent upon tourism. Since the 1930s and the creation of the Sun Valley Resort, it has taken Idaho some time to realize the critical importance of tourism in our state. And, in fact, our own community here in the Wood River Valley has had difficulty in understanding the vital importance of tourism.
Sun Valley Resort, Bald Mountain skiing, the world’s finest cross-country ski trails, amazing hiking, running and mountain bike trails are all a part of the tourism industry in our valley. From the arts to rodeos, parades and special events, we are a tourist economy. So many of the great things we enjoy here are a direct result of tourism.
Please get out and vote Nov. 5 in favor of the 1 percent LOT increase to boost tourism and keep local businesses healthy and thriving.
