Youth hockey golf benefit is today, bidding is online

You don’t have to pick up a golf club and participate in Friday’s “Bigwood 9 and Dine” tournament to help out the Sun Valley Youth Hockey program in its fall fundraising event.

The online auction for some great items associated with Friday’s fundraiser opened Wednesday on biddingforgood.com. Visit the site and type in Sun Valley Youth Hockey in the search area, and you can view the auction items.

They include figure skating lessons, a Sun Valley Suns season hockey pass, alpine skis, ski or snowboard tunes, Valley Club golf, art work, a North Valley trails pass, gift certificates and a one-month family pass to the Wood River YMCA.

Friday’s golf scramble tournament at Bigwood Golf Course north of Ketchum has a 3 p.m. shotgun start. Afterward, there will be hors d’oeuvres, dinner and a no-host bar at 5:30 p.m. at Bigwood Grill.

Raffle prizes include a 2013-14 season ski pass and $1,000 Atkinsons’ Market gift card. There will be a silent auction at the event to go with the ongoing community online auction.

Fees are $90 per person for golf/dinner and $30 for dinner only. Call Sarah Benson at 720-3086 or sarah@solut.com for more details. Raffle tickets are $10 each or six for $50.
