Toone is repeat winner at ImPRA Labor Day rodeo

     Gooding’s Cliff Toone nailed down the saddle bronc season title—the only repeat event winner from 2012—at Hailey Rodeo Park Aug. 31-Sept. 1 during the Intermountain Pro Rodeo Association Finals.

     The two-day holiday rodeo about 100 total entries. It brought together the top 12 finalists in ImPRA events over the spring and summer of 2013.

     Year-end champions in each event, plus top rookies were prizes were awarded:

     · Saddle bronc: Cliff Toone of Gooding for a second straight year $3,104.46.

     · Bareback bronc: Josh Adams of Grace $3,296.16. Top rookie: Tristan Hansen of Victor $682.56.

     · Bullriding: Cory Goff (rookie) of Grantsville, Utah $1,946.25.

     · Stock saddle bronc: McCade Petersen of Filer $1,591.10.

     · Tie down roping: Rob Webb of Wendell $3,129.10. Top rookie: Coy Surrett of Buhl $1,727.26.

     · Breakaway roping: Kara Avery of Idaho Falls $5,326.12. Top rookie: Brayden Roe of Wendell $1,207.69.

     · Steer wrestling: Aaron Skinner of Clifton $3.165.96. Top rookie: Tyrel Skinner of Logan, Utah $1,395.01.

     · Team roping, header: Ralph Gunter of McCammon $4,464.51. Top rookie: AJ Fuchs of Teton Village, Wyo. $2,145.49.

     · Team roping, heeler: Dan Webb of Wendell $4,308.21.

     · Barrel racing: LaDawn Bayes of Adrian, Ore. $2,820.70. Top rookie: Cassidy Quinn of Pocatello $381.71.

     For the season, the men’s and women’s all-around winners by place, along with their prize winnings, were:

     · Men: 1—Rob Webb of Wendell made it three all-around titles in a row with a $7,437.31 total, more than $1,000 more than last year. 2—Dan Webb of Wendell $5,040.49. 3—Jared Parke of Gooding $4,799.16. 4—Coy Surrett of Buhl (rookie) $2,397.39. 5—Payson Munns of Rexburg $1,827.28. 6—Brogan Bennett of Gooding $1,104.31. 7—Ryan Barrington of Blackfoot $802.37.

     · Women: 1—Last year’s all-around runner-up Kimberlyn Fitch of American Falls $5,536.20. 2—Makenzie Barrington of Blackfoot $3,866.36. 3—Shelby Freed of Pocatello $3,397.59. 4—Megan Gunter of McCammon $2,806. 5—Kelsey Lutjen of Florence, Az. $1,721.95. 6—Cathy Morgan of Menan $1,573.46.

     The ImPRA Finals stock contractors were Hoggan Rodeo of Terreton (2012 Stock Contractor of the Year) and 7C Buckers of Tooele. Finals pick-up men were Wes Clegg and Sav Clegg. Bullfighters were Tim Sullivan and Justin Scherer. Finals timers were Heather M. Clegg and Heather Clegg.

     Announcer was Chip Gasser.

     · Bareback bronc: Finals average champion was Mason Clements of Draper, Utah with a season total of $2,291.70.
